On January 16, 2023, the New Energy Research Center of China Electric Power Research Institute Co., Ltd. and the Electric Power Research Institute of Qinghai Provincial Electric Power Company of State Grid jointly conducted on-site tests of the Huawei grid-forming photovoltaic energy storage system at the Hongguan Huarenjianguo Photovoltaic Power Station in Qinghai Province using our company's equipment.
Based on the grid security and stability demands in a high proportion of new energy environment, the project team completed a series of tests such as the parallel stability of the grid connection system, single/continuous fault withstand capability of high/low voltage, primary frequency regulation and inertia response characteristics with high standards and strict requirements. This marked the successful conclusion of the on-site test of the grid connection performance of the world's first grid-connected photovoltaic-storage system.
This testing work is an important milestone in the development of new energy technologies, demonstrating that the grid-connected type of new energy power generation system can play a key role compared with the traditional grid-following type of new energy power generation system in enhancing the operational characteristics of the power grid and achieving high renewable energy targets.
